F1

Active help for current open application. If you're in the Windows desktop, it will activate the Windows help.

F2

Highlight an icon, file, or folder in all versions of Windows renames.

Or search to find all versions of Windows on the Windows desktop starts.

F4

Select the drive in Windows 95 and later or address when browsing files in Windows Explorer opens.

Pressing Alt + F4 without a signal present in all versions of Windows, open the program window closes.
Pressing Ctrl + F4 Microsoft Windows Open window within the current active window closes. It is the only program that supports multiple windows or tabs will work in the program window.

While in Windows Explorer, move the cursor to different Windows Explorer pane, browse or drive in Windows 7.

And pressing F8 as the computer has finished booting, the computer will start in Safe Mode.

Show Desktop Icon in Windows 7

Show desktop in Quick Launch till Windows Vista was a handy feature which was used to minimize all the open Windows. New users would find this feature not present at the same place in Windows 7 instead it has been provided at a different location.This feature has been named as Aero Peek.
The new Show Desktop located on the bottom right of the task bar, it‟s not an icon, and instead it‟s a little bar now that is next to the Time/Date.
There are 3 types of actions it can perform according to event performed.
1. Mouse Hover: Show desktop & would bring back all Windows back when mouse is taken away i.e. a preview of Desktop and see through all Running Appz on your Desktop. Use Win+Spacebar to peek to desktop.
2. Mouse Click: Minimize all Windows and show Desktop
3. Mouse Re-Click: Open all Windows again after they have been minimized by first Mouse Click.

This function can be achieved by pressing Win+D or Win+M Key combos to bring you to the Desktop. Also Quick Launch can be enabled in Windows 7 as well.

You bet there is! Better still, the solution is not overtly technical. In Windows 7, follow these steps and in no time you will be patting yourself on the back.

Window 8 HDD Patrtition

1. Right click on My Computer icon on the desktop. Then, click on Manage. 
2. Select Disk Management within the console tree (under Storage tab
3. You will have to extend or shrink the volume size. If you want to expand or shrink the volume size, ensure you have sufficient space on the partition. Right-click on the partition and  choose Extend Volume.
4. The ‘Extend Volume Wizard’ dialog box show up wherein you would need to type the specific space amount of volume you plan to expand by. Choose the Select the amount of space in MB.Click on Next.
5. Similarly, if you want to reduce the volume, right click the partition to select Shrink Volume.
6. In case of adequate space availability, you will see a dialog box. Select Enter the amount of space to shrink and click on Shrink.

Window 7 HDD Patrtition

1. Hold and Press Winkey+R. In the Run the utility, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter. Windows Disk Management utility will then open up.
2. Ensure you have adequate unallocated space to partition. To create the space, shrink the HDD by right clicking on the drive and selecting Shrink Volume.
3. Enter the MB amount you intend to reduce shrink the HDD space. Click on Shrink. You will see the peak amount of space available via ‘Disk Management Utility’. You can also see the unallocated space region where a foundation needs to be created to use it.
4. Right-click there to select New Simple Volume and open the New Simple Volume Wizard. Install it.
5. Assign a driver letter to the disk.
6.  Select the NTFS file system.
7. In the Volume Label, enter a name.
8. Click on Finish. You’re done!

1. Download any free hard disk partition manager software like AOMEI to resize the partition while preventing data loss.
2. Install the AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition where you’ll see the various partitions.
3. Right click on a partition and choose Resize Partition.
4. A pop-up window will emerge. Take the mouse pointer on the left and drag the slider bar to the right.
5. To extend the volume, Click "OK". You will see unallocated space behind the drive. Select that drive and drag the right handle to the right.
