Remove/Show Notify Area Icons
You can always select which icons & Notifications you want to appear on the taskbar in Windows.
Navigate to control panel, All control Panel Items>Notification Area Icons
Here you can select for which application you want to remove / show notification or Icon.
Although it does not removes or loads and of the application in the memory. If you wish to tweak so that, the application to appear/disappear at startup you may require it to tweak through MSCONFIG

Uninstall or Remove a Program in Windows Vista
We all know that when you remove a program from your computer, you have to do it the right way. Throw program will not remove a shortcut to the Recycle Bin.It is usually for new computer users to remove a software program from your computer.
Only genuine Windows Vista, Windows seven or even to remove a program in Windows XP, go to Control Panel and do it the right way.
Remove a program in Windows Vista
Go to the Start menu and select Control Panel
Double click on Programs and Features
From the list, select the program that you want to remove
Then press the Uninstall button
You will be asked to confirm your choice
When removing a program from Windows XP you need to go to the control panel and choose Add or Remove programs instead of the Programs and Features listed above for Windows Vista.
Another way to Remove a program in Windows Vista
You can also use a free program to uninstall programs called revouninstaller which actually removes software completely as the Windows option often leaves odd files behind. There is a free version that works just fine and is still better than the Windows option.
